I have no proof of this because it isn't my research, but I have Minnie Vanhoose as the wife of Avory Abbott.I can put you in contact with the person who furnished this information.I have 5 children listed for this couple, but no dates on them.Avory and Minnie were married January 26, 1920.I don't know where they were married, but I have this date. You probably know more about this generation than I do.
There is hope on the Abbott family now.Rachel Abbott has been found in a cemetery in Fillmore County Nebraska. She died July 31, 1891.I think that Nathaniel is buried there also.I don't know what happened to Reuben. And guess what, I found Joshua Westbrook son of Alex Westbrook and Nancy (I think Abbott.)I am more convinced than ever that I am on the right track with the Abbott family. It is either a very strange coincidence, or Joshua Westbrook went with his grandmother and cousins to Fillmore County Nebraska.A son was born to him there, and then he is back to Missouri, and then back to Nebraska.
Oh yes, welcome to the Westbrook family. You can research them now too.Your Winnie Harris is a daughter of George Franklin Harris and Susan Katherine Westbrook.I have a couple of very poor snapshots of Susan. I think one of them says Susan and family. You might be able to identify some of the people. You will just love the fact that the Harrises and Westbrooks are interwoven in Illinois like scrambled eggs. I haven't had any luck sorting them out as to who is the father of George. George and Suan were married in 1868 in Christian County Illinois, and for some reason came back to Schuyler County Missouri. She and her half brother Alex (my ancestor) are the only ones of Deberryman's children to live in Schuyler County. She must have lived with family in Illinois after her father died.I have his will from Davis County. Her father Deberryman moved from Montgomery County Illinois to Davis County Iowa, then to Schuyler County Missouri where he bought land in 1859.Then he died in Davis County Iowa in 1864 where his will was probated. It would seem that Matilda Cardwell (his wife) must have died between 1860 (Schuyler County Census) and 1864 when Deberryman died.We will need to correspond via email for me to fill you in on this famiy if you want that information.I won't directly post my email address, but you can look it up on this forum.
