Hi Joyce; Where you able to link up with Chris? All was in the hospital.but is home and doing well.
What did Chris send you? The pictures she has are terrific.
I have some census's and newspaper obituary notices;obtained them at the Andover Library on micro-fische.You would be surprised at all the information in the older notices. They also have an "Andover Room" with a lots of information in books etc. I have joined the Andover Historicial Society, but only found the picture of Freeman's House.Just haven't taken the time to dig around and find who went to Nova Scotia as a Tory/Loyalist.Came across a website that offered a free lookup for Tory/Loyalists so put in Abbott from MA. Hopefully, will make a contact or lead. Just have to find it. If you have a death date, you can call a cemetery and they will check for you,I don't know if the library or historicial society has a inventory of the graveyards ;some places do. I grew up in Andover from 1933-1950 when we moved to Boston. meet a great guy at a dance @ B.C.in 1952,he came from Revere, married him in 1955 and been here ever since. I just haven't been doing anything recently on the Abbott's;busy researching my mother's lines, they go back to the winthrop fleet early 1600's,so far 6 grt-grndfather's in the French-indian wars 8 in the Revolutionary,4 war of 1812 and still searching;we have 2 accused Salem witches, and 3 inlaws hung and a great family feud in Salem/Topsfield. It is like a soap opera. Keep in touch; maybe in the fall we can get together for coffe; we are up in your neck of the woods all the time,as our only daughter lives with her husband and dau in No.Andover.
