I would love to know more about the Chandler descendants if you know.I found some information on Abbott and Howland on a site for First Families of America.I know there is Howland/Abbott in my lines and supposed to be Chandler's too.I am trying to find a connection with my GG-Grandfather Thomas Chandler Woolley/etc AKA's b c 1800.
I have a Hannah Howland Wooley/Woolley connected to a Dorsey, married a brother of my GGG-Grandfather, and descendant of Edward Dorsey the Immigrant that first came to America.I just recently saw something that would connect Chandler to Howland and I know Howland was the maiden name of Hannah Howland Woolley.
Now if I can find the Chandler connection, perhaps I could find the parents of my GG-Grandfather Thomas Chandler Woolley/AKA's.I know my GG-Grandfather married a Dorsey, daughter of the 3rd G-Grandfather mentioned above. She was born in 1826 and was the second husband of my GG-Grandfather Woolley.
I don't know that anyone has ever put this much together as the research always stops at my GG-Grandfather Woolley. This would be such a break through in our lines.
I have over 400 surnames my Mom told me were connected to my lines.I have found the connection of many and also that they were not all her lines, and some of them crossed the boundaries of both my parents.Giving me cousins connected to both sides of my parents even more than once.
I have 7/8 different lines of Woolley's/AKA's and Mom even mentioned an Avery.I don't have any idea what generation that would be, but I did go to school with one in OHIO, worked with one in GA, and don't know if either are connected to me.I would say the one in Ohio had more family characteristics of the family.
