My mother-in-law, Lenabell Abbott Doiron, wife of Francis "Justin" Doiron passed away, September 23, 2003 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from cancer. She was buried at St. George Cemetary on Seigne Lane yesterday.Justin and all but one of her 10 children present along with 18 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, Abbott and Ory family members, and many, many others were present.We were there to mark her life and her passing.She was 81 years old on July 4th.SHe and Justin would have been married 60 years on Nov 8th this year.It was a beautiful church service, with many family members contributing gospel readings, testimonies, the eulogy and "Amazing Grace", also at the wake.
She was a women who put up a very brave fight, but finally lost her battle.She took care of her family and didn't want to leave them.The mother of many, Lenabell stuck by her family, even those others counted as "lost".Lenabell never had a bad word to say about anyone or them about her.
She was amazing.. She was only give 6 months to live...For almost 5 years she battled the cancer which took her life.She was brave to the end and will be missed by all those who knew her.We will carry her with us throughout our lives, in our our hearts and our precious memories.
She was the daughter of Myron Walter Abbott (b 7-17-1887, d 1945) and Mildred Adeline Kritzer (b 3-13-1890, d 5-1948), both from Michigan, both died in Denham Springs, LA.Myron W was the son of Celathial N. Abbott (b 10-16-1854 in Monguagon, Wayne Co, Mighican, d 1-6-1930 Baton Rouge, LA) and Lillie Luella McMillian (b3-31-1864, Michigan, d 1-2-1900 in Acadia Parish).He was the son of David C Abbott (b 5-18-1825 Essex or Kent Co, England, d 11-4-1910 in Crowley, LA)and Martha Reaves (Reeves) (b 2-8-1829 in West Canada, d 11-13-1910 Acadia Par, LA). She was preceeded in death by her siblings Julia Mildred A Triche, Lillie A Issac, Dorothy Abbott died young, and Myron Walter Abbott.Her brother Harry Abbott survives her.
