The grave of Chandler Abbott is in Piermont Cemetary, Piermont, NH.This cemetary is about a quarter mile north of the post office in Piermont. There is an elderly gentleman across the street who is the unofficial historian of the cemetary. His last name is Abbott.I neglected to record his first name.
Chandler Abbott's grave is by itself, although there are other Abbott and Chandler family groupings in the cemetary. The inscription reads:
Chandler Abbott Died Jan. 11, 1867 Age 87 yrs. 11 mo.
So that puts his birth in February 1780.He is noted as a veteran (probably War of 1812).
Nearby is the grave of Louis E. Abbott (died 2-12-1844) at age of 75 (so born about 1769).Could be an older brother by age. Also a veteran.Next to Louis is the grave of Mary Abbott, wife of Damin L. Abbott, died March 24, 1824, age 82 (so born about 1742).Perhaps Louis' mother....maybe Chandler's also???Hope this is of assistance.
I was seeking Chandler graves, but am also chasing an elusive Fanny Abbott, who married Abner Chandler in Piermont around 1790.
