Your posting in regards to the Abbott's near Cincinnati in 1800 very much intrigues me and I would like to discuss more with you.
First off, there are two separate families living the Cinncinnati area in this timeframe. At that time, Hamilton and Adams counties made up the majory of SW Ohio.Clermont and Brown counties were both formed from parts of Hamilton and Adams.
The posting you responded to from Jim Brown is in regards to a Nathanial Abbott who married Hannah Bridges and this family line is from the Hamilton and Clermont county areas.Jim can give you more details on that family but I do have a copy of this family tree he provided me a couple of years ago.
The second family, also a Nathaniel Abbott, is my family which is from the Adams County area.As you can see, both families have the same name "Nathaniel Abbott" and are in the same area at the same time.
According to the family tree I have from Jim and my own family tree, neither Nathaniel Abbott shows a son named: Thomas Jefferson Abbott.
I am definatly interested in the information that you have on your Thomas and his connections to a Nathaniel Abbott.Nathaniel (Nathan) is common in both Abbott lines but Jim and I have not found a connection between the two families. They both migrated from PA to OH within a few years of each other and both resided in the same area of PA so there is suspicion of a possible connection in the families but nothing definitive.
