My paternal grandfather was Harold Cecil Smith, and did have a brother Percy for whom I had no death information.Lucy Smith was one of Harold's sisters! His parents were George Alfred Smith and Maria Louisa Quinn. He says there were 13 children but only have eight lived to maturity.
My dad, William Victor Smith, wrote of his Aunt Lucy, "Never got to know any of my aunts except Lucy who lived in semi-rural area outside city (Toronto).Visited them often and played with cousins George and Bob.As a youth Bob contracted Tuberculosis and spent time in a TB Sanitarioum. As an adult, George started a company [Industrial Safety Equipment Co.]His brother Bob worked for him.I (Victor) used to work there on Saturdays.Their father, Ed, invested a piece of farm equipment. One of the Munnings family was an artist of note in Scotland."
Dad also lists Uncles Alfred, George, and Walter
Does that description fit with the history you have?If so then we are indeed cousins.I would be glad to share what I have of geneologic information, but what I have on my paternal side mostly goes back from my grandmother, Kathleen Patricia Nelson and not from my grandfather to whom you would be related.
I'm really curious about the Abbott connections in England, having heard stories from my Dad and Grandpa but not having any hard evidence.
Do let me know if this fits, and you may e-mail me direct if you like.
