My research has led me to understand that the surname "ABE" comes from the French/German mystic dynsty of the Frankish Empire. From what I understand, this surname is an extension of the Franks as can also be identified by various other surnames. The meaning of "ABE" is "Father" or as Christians recognize as, "FATHER ABRAHAM". The name John Abe may be John E. Abeles. Not exactly sure of his DOB, but DOD is May 3, 1962. If this does make some kind of sense, please respond! I am currently working with the grandson of this man to find out exactly who this man really was. This person also ties back to England in the early/mid 1800's. Currently I can't make a definite connection. But you info leads me a step closer.
