I am interested in the book you refer to.What is the name and who was the author, and where did you find it?This may explain many of the erroneous stories published about my ancestors.

My ancestors were Francis Abel & Isabel O'Connor who lived in Wythe Co., VA between the early 1790s until 1804 or 1805 when Francis died. They raised six boys and one girl: William, John, Mary, Francis, Joseph, Andrew, and Hiram all born between 1786 and about 1801.All the children migrated to Indiana, and William, John, Mary, Francis, and Joseph died in Indiana.Andrew went west to the state of WAshington and Hiram disappeared.

Some say the name of Isabel was Isabel Phoebe O'Connor, but no supporting documentation has been found. Some say Francis served under Cornwallis, but again there is no proof.
