I recently purchased a family Bible of the Albert Smith Abel family (residence location of family unknown) at an auction in Hogansville, GA. The Bible was first printed in 1895, second printing 1902, by J.R. Jones (Again, no location). It is a "Fine Art Edition, The Self-Pronouncing S.S. Teachers' Combination Bible. " It is in a hand-painted, wooden case.

Many items from this auction are purchased in Pennsylvania, Illinois, New York and other northern states. Some items are from local estate sales (Georgia, Alabama). I do not know where this Bible was obtained.
If you are a member or descendant of this Abel family, please contactJudy Kilgore ([email protected]).
Thanks,
Judy K. in Newnan, GA
