Lyman Abel was born 14 March 1792 in CT. His father, NAME UNKNOWN, migrated to Leeds County Ontario about 1802. They settled in Bastard Tonwship near Plum Hollow. On 15 February 1821 he married Sally Miller. Sally was a Quaker and Lyman adhered to the same faith.Lyman and Sally had several children, including Turner who became a noted Canadian clocksmith, and William Abel who went to Ohio to marry a Quaker girl, Esther Stanley. They later lived in Iowa and Nebraska.
