I am taking a long shot here but too many common names in your message to not take a stab at it. I live in town of Macomb, St. Lawrence County, NY. In my family line I have an Abel Hyde 1799-7/23/1868 who married Philena Blood 1810-6/14/1881. I believe Philena was born in Vt. They lived in the town of Macomb and are buried in a cemetary near my home. I do not know Abel's parents nor where he came from . Their daughter Mary 1841-3/23/1874 married George Finley 1837-8/2/1891. Their daughter Cleora(also written as Laura) Finley married Jacob Raven son of Daniel and Susanna Cowlthrope Raven. Abel and Philena Hyde are my g-g-grandparents. There was also a Wolcott Hyde born 1802, was a blacksmith and married a Laura? born 1805 equally living in town of Macomb at the same time as Abel, but to date I have not found his grave. Other children/grandchildren of Abel and Philena or perhaps this Wolcott: Hermon born 1832 Charles W. born 1873>>>I believe he is the son of David Dennis Hyde and Matilda Conger. His wife Inez Peterson d. of Riley and Emma Wood Peterson. Hannah born 1874 who married Elmer Fishbeck Helen M. born 1849 who married Daniel Graves Dennis born 1846 Laura born 1805 Alexander born 1838 ?wife's name Catherine
My Findley/Findley line I believe came from one of the Dakotas. The family story is that George was Indian but of what tribe I know no idea.
