George Mutlow ABELL was my 3xGreat-Grandfather (my mum's mum's mum's father's father). He seems to have been born in Mitcheldean, and lived/worked at various times in Gloucester, Barnwood and Cheltenham.
I have made a couple of visits to Gloucester Records office this year, and have found quite a bit about this family. When I have got it all sorted out properly I shall post the details.
His father, Joseph was a surgeon in Mitcheldean. The name I have for his mother is Mary Wilton REA, not Mary Wilton HOWARD. I can't remember exactly where this name comes from, but I shall check my notes at home, and let you know.
