FYRN C. ABENDROTH Fyrn was botn September 2, 1914, in Three Lakes, WA, and passed away peacefully on March 15, 2007, at the age of 92.
After graduating from Cleveland High School (Seattle) at the age of 16, FYRN attended Columbus Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1934. While nursing, she met her future husband, RAYMOND ABENDROTH. They were married in 1936 and celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2000, one month before Ray's passing.
The expression "her home is her castle" aptly applied to Fyrn. Her warm personality made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable in her home. She was a gracious hostess and was well known for her delicious pies. Fyrn was a voracious reader and kept everyone on their toes with her deep knowledge of current events. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and her memberships in Olive Robert's Children's Hospital Guild, Seattle Milk Fund, and PNB League. Fyrn and her husband enjoyed many happy days cruising the waters of the Pacific Northwestand Canada in their boat, the Spindrift, along with their many friends and family.
Fyrn is survived by her four children, STEPHEN ABENDROTH, ROBERT (TERRY) ABENDROTH, CAROLYN HECK, BARBARA (GERRY) YASUTAKE and her seven grandchildren, DAVID (CHARMA) & MICHAEL (CRYSTAL) ABENDROTH, CARRIE, INGRID & RICHARD ABENDROTH, JOHN & JULIANNE HECK and three great-grandchildren, SAMANTHA, MADELINE & PATRICK ABENDROTH.
