Hi Ellen, This is not an unheard of story. Permelia like many of these early Abercrombie's seem to have a real wanderlust. They did not seem to stay in one place very long. To answer a couple of your questions. I believe the 1823 came from one of his descendents. I have a 11 children. One person on Ancestry.com added a few extra people who belonged to brothers of Clementh. They included James Adams Abercrombie and Harriet Abercrombie both are children of his brother John and Catherine Peck Abercrombie. They included Andrew J,which is Andrew Jackson Abercrombie. They had no date of birth. So this could be a guess. Clementh had a brother by that name, who had a son Young Andrew Jackson Abercrombie. This family liked the name Andrew Jackson. The last they included that I did not have was Luniah. I have a Lula who is the daughter of Clementh's brother William and Caroline Blackwell Abercrombie. If you have any other names let me know. Do you have the death date for Permelia, and where she died and is buried? Who did her children marry, and do you have their dates of birth and death? Thank you for sharing your information.
