Thankyou so much for jumping back in. You data is most helpful. The problem with Abernathys is that they kept using the same names down the generations. I think that the David Abernathy who belongs to me was married to Sarah Blackstone(Blaxton/Blackston) whose children were Blackstone and David Blackstone b.1772 d.Sept 5,1845 (my direct relative whose headstone I have photographed in the Abernathy cemetery near Leighton Ala), Ann L.,Mary T./PollyT.,JesseD. William T. and Lucy P. This David had eldest sons born to Sarah and a second wife, Amy who had some of the others ... not sure of which. A Liles (1796-1800)was a son of David's first born Blackstone. All of this leads me to believe that the Short daughter was not in my direct line. I have not come across ariana A. Wilson in any trails which I have followed. Glad you found her. Was it near Lieghton, Alabama where you found her husband or some other Leighton? I have the full record of all graves in the Abernathy Plantation cemetery near Leighton and he is not there. J.W.R.
