The particular Robert H. Abernathy I was attempting to find information about may not, in point of fact, be a son of the Robert H. Abernathy you cite as married to Dicey/Polly Bynum, but a son instead of Shadrack and Ann (Hagar) Abernathy.
I have that Robert, wife Dicey and at least 5 children, including Dr. Samuel Bynum Abernathy (1809-1859), both of his wives, and at least 7 children. If you have a copy of a will that lists the children of Robert and Dicey (Bynum) Abernathy, I would love a copy or at least the knowledge of where to find it.
If you have family letters that can help prove their children, I'd like to know about them, too, but a synopsis or excerpts might be sufficient. It all depends.
If you have ANY evidence that can tie together the Robert and Polly Abernathy of Household #519-530 on p. 222 of the 1850 Lincoln County Census with the Robert H. and Margaret Abernathy of Household #531-540 on p. 222b, I would certainly like to know that so I can revisit data I have that strongly implys him as a son of Shadrack and Ann (Hagar) Abernathy and determine where, if at all, that renowned earlier researcher may have been led astray by someone who provided her with information.
