Elizabeth,
Even though we do obviously disagree rather strongly on this particular issue, I want to thank you for your helpful input, and for refraining from castigation.I am now in the (painstakingly laborious) process of hunting down and querying members of the Blankenship/Epperson families of Shelby and Coosa Counties, both of which married together (and into the Abernathy family), and who therefore may have valuable information. (One never knows.) Unfortunately, my current weekly schedule leaves me very little time, (and energy) and so I must approach this on a sort of sporadic basis; consequently not knowing when something of interest may "turn up." I will however, post anything that I think may be pertinent to the subject, as I do like to get as much as I can into the light, where it can be seen and considered, etc.
