I am very interested in the Glover-Cox-Lamkin connection.
Awhile back, someone sent me a jpeg image of a deed in which Elenor Glover was deeding away John Glover's land on Anderson's Swamp. I thought I saved the image, but now I can't find it. I think that John Glover had built a mill on his property, so it was probably a valuable piece of land.
I am responding to the posting about Elenor COX, and wonder if anyone has access to the deeds of Granville and can verify that at the time (in the 1750's)she was still a Glover, or am I misremembering the deed? I do not remember the Cox name on the deed.
The index of the court of pleas for Bute County 1793-1796 has a Sally Glover Lamkin listed on page 69 along with Betsy Lamkin. That's what triggered me to look for more Lamkin data, and I arrived at this site.
