abington's of missouri

hi, i am trying to find info on my side of the abington tree. my great grandfather was leland carter abington and he was married to lula winona hall. my grandfather was don lacy abington married to agnes jewell walker.
i am trying to go further back to find out who leland carter abingtons father was, but i can't seem to go back further than him. any info would be appreciated- i believe this is the missouri side of the family but leland's father may have come from elsewhere.
