I recently found, on e-Bay, a reproduction of a book published before 1923 and is in the public domain of the USA. The book is called 'Feudal Cambridgeshire' by William Farrer, 354 pages. The book's reproduction leaves it blurred in some pages but it is readable and informative. Philip and heirs are also mentioned in several places.
The Index of Names and Places mentions Ascelin de Abington, Edmund de Abington, John de Abington, Philip de Abington, William de Abington, William de Abington son of John de Abington, and William de Abington son of Philip de Abington.
This is a good resource book for early genealogical research of the Abingtons. Years mentioned are from 1086 CE to the 1300s CE.
You may be able to find copies of this book available on the internet.
