I have just spotted your post on genealogy.com and realised that your relative is mine... You may know these details now as your post was dated 2004, a while ago!
The details are as follows...
William as I have it was born in 1803 in Gamblingay Cambridgeshire to a William Ablett (Born 1777 in Oakington, Cambridgeshire) and Mary jackson (Born 1781 Oakington, Cambridgeshire) William and Mary were married 25 October 1802 also in Oakington, Cambridgeshire.
I understand as well as William (Brn 1803)there was also a Sarah (Brn 1807)..
Before William Ablett married Sarah Fordham on 7th April 1844 in Bourn Cambridgeshire, he had already been married.
His first marridge was to Mary Warboys (Brn 1801 Cambs), William and Mary had 10 children (Further details on request) My line springs from this line. Unfortunatley Mary died on 5th feb 1843 from Smalpox. I am not 100% sure but it appears that their youngest son William also died of Pox aged 12 weeks. He died Feb 1843 also.
From stories I undertsand that Sarah was 3 mths pregnant with Job when they married in 1844... Children were Job Brn 29 Sept 1844, Esther Brn 28 Mar 1847 and William Brn Nov 1849. This was also Sarah Fordhams 2nd marridge and i don't know about prior children... I have located them on 1851 census living in Bourn and she has a child listed as Anne Fordham aged 7 years... she may ahve ahd older children who had left home..
I am told that all three of William and Sarahs Children emmigrated to USA, first Job in 1871 and William 1872 (not sure when Esther went..)
I don't have dates of death for william or Sarah yet but they shouldn't ben too hard to find!
I hope this hasn't been too rambling and is of some help... If there is anything you are not sure of please let me know
I will let you know about death dates in a few days
