Charles Abney's descendants
I believe that Charles Abney (1794-1837)and Elizabeth Willis had several sons, in addition to their proven daughters. After Charle's death possibly in Greene, Macoupin or Adams County, Illinois, Elizabeth lived in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, where she was enumerated on the 1840 and 1850 census (as Abeney on the 1850 census.) She almost certainly had sons, David, b. ca 1829; and Charles (jr.) b. ca 1832. She and Charles (Sr.) may have also had sons, Willis, b. ca 1827, and William, b. ca 1816. Their daughters were Martha (1823-1914) who married Caswell Wood; Mary (1829-1912) who married Ervin Whitlock; and Sarah (1835-1883) who married Marvin Steward.
I would like to hear from anyone who believes he/she may be descended from one ofthe sons.
