Sorry about the confusion. Here is the explanation. I wrote
"Paul Abney, baptised in 1699, married and had a son whose name has been given as William, although this has not been established to the satisfaction of all. This son had a family of two sons and three daughters, all of whom married in Amherst Co Va. in the late 1700's. The two sons are given below; they both moved to the part of Clark Co that became Estill Co. Ky."
Note I refer to two sons of PAUL ABNEY. They were 1. William and 2. John. I just forgot to insert a "2." in front of John, the younger son, and this lead to your very understandable confusion.By the way I am NOT an Abney researcher, I just put this info together in a hurry from sources readily available "on line".Verify for yourself, don't take what I say here as absolute truth!
