I just found the following marriage of John Mead and Mary Abrell.
Source:New Garden Monthly Meetings (Quaker), Chester County, Pennsylvania.
John Mead son of Wm and Mary Abrell dau of Richard Abrell, all of Cicill in ye Province of Maryland... 2, 12m 1726/27 ...at their Publick Meeting place in Notingham in ye County of Chester. By the position fo the names of witnesses one can tell that the parents of the groom were both alive, but Mary's mother seems to have already been dead.
You need to understand that Quaker dating is not the same as that used by everyone else, and it is wiser to use the Quaker dates rather than try to convert it to the 'usual' dating of the time. However, if you DO wish to convert it, then it is suggested you visit some of the Quaker sites on the internet to help you.
I have some information on John if you are interested. I believe I have found him in Loudoun County, Virginia with land.
Do you have more on the Meads or Abrells? Thanks for your time, Sue Davis
