My great great grandfather, the Rev. Stephen David Clements, fought in the Civil War with Anderson D. Abraham, Jr.They called him, Anderson D. Abraham that is, Capt. Abe.I do know that Capt. Abe married Mary Ann Parham.Mary Ann’s father was Robert Nelms Parham.Robert Nelms Parham was the brother of S. D. Clements’ grandmother (If I’m remembering correctly). What I do know about Capt. Abe and Mary Ann is that they had at least six children (Carrie Virginia Abraham Leman 1856-1899, Robert Parham Abraham 1861-?, Nannie Holt Abraham 1865-?, Mary L. Abraham 1867-?, Lillian Abraham 1873-?, and Florence Abraham 1875-?).I also think that Mary L. Abraham married a Dunson.I also know that Capt. Abe’s brother, John W. Abraham, also lived in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia.John W. is listed in the 1880 census along with his wife Mattie E. and his daughter Scottie M.In the family plot at the Hillview Cemetery in LaGrange, Anderson D. Abraham, Sr. is buried there also with Capt. Abe, Capt. Abe’s wife (Mary Ann), Capt. Abe’s daughter (Carrie Leman),infant son of JE & MA Dunson (1887-1887), and Mamie Elizabeth Dunson (1903-1903).I assume that the last two are son and granddaughter of Capt. Abe’s daughter, Mary.
