Ellen Fahlen, 92, formerly of Boothbay Harbor and of Rockport, Mass., and Military Lane in Litchfield, died Friday evening, Oct. 18, 2002, at Bodwell Rehabilitation Center in Brunswick.
She was born in Farsund, Norway, Nov. 22, 1909, a daughter of Einer and Elaine (Andersen) Abrahamsen. Ellen attended schools of the Bronx, N.Y., and graduated from George Washington High School. She attended Becker Business School for two years in the Bronx. She was employed at J.P. Morgan Co. on Wall Street in New York, N.Y., and at Bankers Trust and Dominic & Dominic in New York City.
She was a member of the Pigeon Cove Circle and its treasurer for seven years and a board member for many years. She was a member of the Village Improvement Society and Spiral Lodge in Rockport, Mass.
Her husband, Lars A. Fahlen, died in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Ida Stinson and husband, John, of Rockport, Mass., and Litchfield; a grandson, David G. Stinson and wife Ruth of Bath; and great-granddaughter Samantha Stinson and a great-grandson, John David Stinson, both of Bath.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the family lot in Riverside Cemetery, Days Ferry, Woolwich
