> There is also a Brief History of Henry Abrams in the Centennial Book. In part, it reads > Henry Abrams had two sons, Henry Jr, and Gabriel and several other children. Gabriel > had seven ons. Gabriel served in the Revolutionary War in the 8th Penn Regiment. He > married Nancy McClelland whose father was one of 14 children. Homes were built near > Henry Abrams, Sr. by his son Henry, Jr. and by James Spencer, said to be a kin of > Winston Spencer Churchill and who married a daughter of Henry Abrams, Sr.
Actually my ggg grandmother Nancy McClelland (1800 - 1860) married my ggg grandfather DAVID ABRAMS (1795- 1855), one of the sons of Gabriel ABRAMS. Nancy (McClelland) Abrams is buried in Rimersburg, Clarion Co. PA, where she and husband David Abrams moved sometime during the 1840s. She appears in the historical record only once that I know of, in History of Fayette Co. PA, when she joins a presbyterian church in Uniontown, Fayette Co. PA in 1833 together with a Charlotte McClelland, a likely near relative. You will find Nancy and David ABRAMS living together in the 1850 Clarion Co. PA census in Toby twp.
