I believe you are mistaken about where the Kelso children were born. The children of Joseph Kelso, father of Mary Ann and Sarah, were born in Virginia and Licking Co., Ohio. Part of the problem is that these people were illiterate and reported many different things over the years as to where they were born.
But I do agree that our Abrams line does not connect to Henry Abrams.I see many people trying to make that connection but believe this is incorrect.
I believe John's (born 1788) father was not the James in New Jersey because I have a copy of James' Revolutionary War Pension Application.Lots of stuff out there that is incorrect on this family.I believe John (1788) was born in Ohio Co., West Virginia, and that his father was John and mother was Anna (last name unknown).Beyond that I believe the Abrams came from Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Ohio Co., West Virginia, about the time of the Revolution.
John (1788)had a brother James, a brother Stephen, a sister Catherine, and possibly a sister Margaret.By 1820 they are all in Licking Co., Ohio, and their father, John, is apparently deceased.Anna (born 1754) died in 1832 in Delaware Co., Ohio, and is buried by son James in Old Eden Cemetery.
