I did not realize you had her mother's name from a death certificate.That's good.Now we definitely know which Charles we're dealing with.In my opinion, Mary Ann is a Doxsey; and the information you have from the Cemetery is correct. According to Eardeley (who was good, but not perfect), the 1860 census has a Wesley, age 35, (Family #740) who is living with his mother, Margaret, age 55, and two of his children.Is this the family you're talking about? Again, Eardeley claims that 'your' Charles is missing from the 1860 census. I believe this Wesley is the Charles W. of Jamaica who was married to Sarah Remsen- they had five children: Martha Ann, Charles H., James, George, and Mary E. I don't know the order of their birth, nor do I know when Sarah died - This Charles Wesley died in 1897. I'm going to leave it at this for now, before I get confused.I haven't focused on this group of people in awhile.I'll try to get them organized.
