Dorothy:
Thank you for the response.I do not have any information on the parents of Caroline Augusta (as she as the surviving widow is listed in Wm C. Ladow's estate papers, although she used the signature "Carie LaDow").
Some kind researcher sent me a listing of Ladows on the MI Census. Using those, I have discovered that her daughter, Cora-listed as Cora Baldwin on the 1880 Kinderhook, Branch Co. MI Cens.was Cora Ladow. Cora is listed on the 1900 Coldwater City, Branch Co.MI Cens. as -Cora A LaDow, a Domestic, and was b. Sept. 1871.She is on the 1910 Algansee, Branch Co., Mi Cens. as Cora A. R. Ladow, and is a servant in a private home.
I "believe" that she md. Frank Foster ca. 1914, and they are a couple on the Alganee, Branch Co., MI 1920 and 1930 Census enum.
I had wondered if ABRAMS might be another of Caroline Augusta's married names, as she was ca. 25-30 when she married Wm C. Ladow, giving her time to have been married previously.
Any help would be appreciated.
