The William J Abrams that lived from 1833 to aft 1910 certainly led an eventful life! I was hoping that this info would tell me what happened to 'my' William.
The William that I have tracked through Pike Co, led a much quieter life as a farmer and probably died in the 1870s, still a young man.I am not sure what his middle name or initial was, even tho I have several records for him.His father was the Joseph you quoted in the 1840 Monroe IN census. His father was named Gabriel, originally from Turkeyfoot, PA
Upon re-reading your messages, I realize that the William James Abrams from Salt Creek in Monroe Co, represents a third Wm Abrams from IN.He is the son of Wm Elias Abrams and the grandson of Gabriel, thus a first cousin to the Pike IN Wm Abrams.(At least thats my interpretation)
I am not sure how Wm #1 fits in with the other two, if at all.If there are any male desc, they could add to our growing DNA project.Contact me for more info.
Relatives of the last two Wm Abrams are having a family reunion in Berea KY in early August 2006.You can contact me privately or thru this board and I will be happy to pass on info. There is also a MyFamily Abrams site for these Abrams and I will be happy to invite anyone who asks.
Thanks Barbara for all your work here.I recognized you from all your research on the Long Island Abrams.
