Will add a little more info to my posting of: "Thomas ABRAMS, Madison Co., Ky & Mo.", as follows:
Last week I received photocopies of the original Marriage Records from the Estill County Clerk in Irvine, Kentucky for Thomas ABRAMS and Elizabeth ROSE.
In the Marriage Miscellaneous Book #13, page 186 reads:
November the 201826 Nathaniel Rose and Ester Rose his wife ar willing that you "?" (possibly "had") give "?" (cannot decipher) to Thomas Abrams to marry thare Daughter Elizabeth Rose (signed by:)Robert Clarke
In Marriage Miscellaneous Book #1, page 79 reads:
Estill County S "?" (possibly a "W") This is to authorise and permit you to join together in the holy state of Matrimony Mr Thomas Abrams and Miss Elizabeth Rose daughter of Nathaniel Rose, he having complied with the requisitions of the law --Given under my hand as clerk of the County Court of "?" (maybe some sort of old abreviation of "said" ?) County the 20th day of Nov 1826 To any Legally authorised Minister of the Gospel (signed by:)Robt Clark
In the Marriage Miscellaneous Book #1, page 80, reads:
Executed on the 30th of november 1826 the rites of matrimony between Thomas Abrams and Elizabeth Rose"?" (cannot make out) given under my hand (signed by:) William "?" (possibly "Berg")
In Marriage Book A, page 57, reads:
Executed the 30th of November 1826 the rites of Matrimony between Thomas Abrams and Elizabeth Rose given under my hand (signed by:) William "?"(possibly "Berg") (And in the far right hand column it looks like possibly the signature of Thomas Abrams as such: Thos Abrams.)
The above documents were transcribed exactly as they read, spelling, punctuation, upper and lower case letters, etc., to the best of my ability. The notations in parenthesis are my comments. And I hope that I have not made any errors! The same goes for the following Will Record of Thomas ABRAMS, that I just received a photocopy of last week from the Porbate Court of Chariton County, Missouri.
