Ya-a-a-ay Geneva! You are a genealogist after my own heart!
I vote for two separate GenForums -- one for genealogists and one for genealogy collectors.
I do have a bunch of documentation on Henry Abrams & other Abrams, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
Unfortunately, it has been in storage in Idaho Falls for the last six years while we have been living in Vienna, Austria. If all goes according to plan, I should be reunited with my Abrams files sometime in August, and sometime in September, I hope to make another extended research trip to SLC.
I have found a bunch of relatively unknown tidbits of data about Henry Abrams (and other Abrams) in some odd placed -- like on an early sale bill in (if I remember correctly) Augusta Co., VA.
So far, I have found not the slightest clue as to Henry Abrams Sr.'s wife's name, nor have I found the slightest bit of proof that he had a daughter Mary who married James Spencer.
Since I descend from James & Mary Spencer, I would dearly love to find proof as to Mary's maiden name, but so far it has eluded me.
Anyway, I look forward to working with you, and hope that all our research doesn't overlap! What a waste that would be!
By the way, if you wish to "direct" some of my research in SLC toward a particular county or particular record, just let me know and I will be happy to oblige.
I do find the genealogy collectors useful in one way -- sometimes their wild tales contain a clue as to where to look for additional records.
