Hi - my father (born 1908) had relations in Pembrokeshire. My fathers name was Glyn (married Dora), his father was Albert Hugh (married Elizabeth). I remember visiting a relative in Pembrokeshire round about 1952 named, I believe, Arthur (they called him Artie). I don't know in which part of the county he lived - I will try to look for an old address book.
Does any of this fit into your research?
I suppose you know the origin of this jewish/biblical type of name? I understand that the many English teachers and company bosses in Wales gave their employees (to them) pronounceable non-Welsh names. Is this your understanding?
