Thank you for writing.I found your message interesting.I'm sorry to say that the names that you provided, that appear to be from your last two generations of Acevedo, are not listed in my family book. However, that is not to say that we are not related. It could be that we share a common ancestor several generations back.
This is what I have on my family branch of the Acevedos of Ponce:
My grandfather, Antonio Acevedo Alicea, was born in a barrio of Ponce known as Montellano, around the year 1880.His parents were Rosa Alicea Morales and Antonio Acevedo Torres. His parents had other children, that much I know. One of them could be YOUR ancestors. The only other child from this union that I have in my records is a Maria del Pilar Acevedo Alicea.
Antonio Acevedo Alicea married Juana Maria Perez Colon in 1918.They had four children, namely Ines,Paulino, Esteban and Antonio.Antonio, the youngest of the four, was my father. He was born on 2-18-1910 in the La Cantera Ward of Sexto Barrio, Ponce.Antonio is my father. He came to the states with his two brothers in 1930.
Ines married Ramon Medina and remained in Ponce. They had one child from this union, namely Martin Medina.Ines remarried to Rafael Laboy and from this union came three children, namely Jose, Ufemia Laboy, Felix Laboy.
Paublino married Enriqueta Gonzalez. From this union came seven children including Vidal, Heriberto, Delia, Hector, Maria Luisa, Andrea, Jose Antonio.
Esteban married a Carmen Acevedo, also of Ponce but no relationship...apparently. They had three children from this union, namely Iris, Carmen and Magda.Carmen's father was Valvino Acevedo. This Acevedo branch is from the barrio Cerro de San Thomas.
It should be noted that all three brothers were womanizers and had several mistresses and children from these mistresses.
Could you tell me what barrio your Acevedo branch is from?Well I hope this helped.Good luck on your search.
