Dear Prue,
Yes this is our family crest which we have in the farmhouse at home, on a brass horseshoe. Killycarn is a townland about 3 miles south of a town called Markethill, which is approx. 9 miles south of Armagh City in Northern Ireland.
Originally two Acheson brothers came over and settled in Gosford/Markethill, then a couple of years later their cousin came over and settled in the townland of Killycarn around 1603 - where we have been ever since - except for me who has moved over to England for a while because of work, but my father and my brother still run the farm.
Anyway better go, and do something which I am being paid for.
