Hi Ginny! Here is what I have:Alexander Acheson (birth year unknown) was the father of Robert William Acheson (b. 1760).Robert William married Eleanor. They lived in Drumcree, Drumsna, Leitrim and they were the parents of James (b. 1782), George (b. 1789), Alexander (b. 1897), Sarah (b. 1875), John (b. 1790), Eleanor (b. 1799).Of these children, only James would be the right age to have had a child with the birth year of your Alexander Acheson. According to my records, his oldest child was Sarah Jane (my ancestor) and she was born in 1809.They did live in Cavetown, Co. Roscommon and you can certainly see that Alexander is a family name. Are your David and Henry brothers of Alexander? If so, that would rule out Alexander being a previously unknown son of James.I don't have information on any of the siblings of Robert William and you could possibly be from that line. The family of James Acheson is attended and is buried in the Eastersnow Church in Cavetown, Co. Roscommon. That's just east of Boyle. It sounds to me like there is a connection but it is not in my records.I'll keep looking!
