I am Mildred Edgerton's nephew (the son of her sister Ruth). Mildred died in September 2003 and, because of a stroke in 1999, was unable to keep working on the Acheson-Atchison family tree for the past several years. I have inherited (literally and figuratively) her mantle as keeper of the genealogical information for our branch of the Acheson-Atchison family.
In any event, I too have a copy of "The History of the Atchison Family in America" but the one copy that I have only includes the pages related to the Humphrey ATCHISON (1740-1814) line. The pages on Matthew's line are missing. Also, the pages that I possess contain some intriguing information on the TANNEHILL descendents of Catherine ATCHISON (b. 1760), Humphrey and Matthew's sister.
I would be happy to scan these typewritten pages (which appear to date from 1907) and post them to a public space as a pdf file. Also, I live in New Jersey and work in New York. So, I have been able to obtain a complete copy of another book on the Acheson-Atchison family: Nellie Wilkin Cooke's "The Acheson-Atchison Families" (Sterling, KS: 1953). I would be happy to scan and post that book, too.
By the way, Kristina, I believe that you and I both are descendents of William MORROW. Millie had pictures of the brothers of Jane MORROW (1826-1910): David MORROW, John Acheson MORROW, Joseph Armstrong MORROW, and Samuel MORROW. (I do not believe that she had a picture of William MORROW [1834-before 1910]). I would be happy to post high quality scans of those pictures, too.
I have spent the past six months transferring the information in Millie's files to a gedcom file and matching the information to census records. I plan to head to Washington County, Pennsylvania and Guernsey and Muskingum Counties, Ohio for a couple of weeks next summer. I plan to photograph original documents with a high quality digital camera.
