Hi Jacque:We can try.I hope we eventually succeed? My James Ackerman married Olive Bennet. They had eleven children. I'm sure one of them was named James...Our James was in Hague, Warren County, New York in 1820.By 1850 when actual names of children were given, Olive was living with Samuel Ackerman, who had children Betsy, Pollly, Sidney Francis.Abraham 46,was married to Melinda, 46, and Samuel 28 was married to Betsy, 25.There was also a Benjah, age 56 married to Rhoda. My ancestor William Woodward married Jane Ackerman. She died before 1840 and William and his family moved to Wisconsin, and then to Chatfield, Minnesota. His son Eli lived in Howard County, Iowa, and also another William Woodwardand there appeared to be some Ackermans there at that time.Since families often moved together, it may be the same Ackerman.I'm still working on this, obviously, but it sounds plausible! The Town Historian in Hague, Warren County New York is 90 years old, but very helpful. His name is Clifford West. The previous historian, now deceased was related to the Ackermans. Her name was Mrs. James Fitzgerald.Good luck.Let me know what you find!
