Hope someone can help. Traced Cornelius L Ackley (also shows up as C.L. Ackley) back to New York. Would like to know who his parents were. He was born in New York around 1825 and mustered out of the Army in Pleasant Valley, Maryland in Oct 1862 and next shows up in Dubuque, Iowa marrying in 1866 Mary J (widow[?] with a young daughter named Carrie S Osborne).
