Joseph was born at Winchester, Virginia, in 1732, and died near Brownsville, Penna, in 1836.He was of English descent, and a revolutionary soldier, and he was one of two white men who first attempted to make a permanent settlement in southwestern Pennsylvania. One son was George K.(1803-1887, and a grand-son Thomas J.,born near Heisterburgh, Pa.,in 1827, served in Company H., 7th Pennsylvania Cavalry, and was killed while a prisoner of war at Savannah, Ga., Sept. 10, 1864. Cristopher, SR. was born in 1745, 8 yrs younger than your Joseph, ---they may have been brothers, I don't know. Any help??
