On Oct. 27, 2006 in the Alva Review-Courier there was an obituary for a Mary Edith Snow, 84, from Freedom, OK.
In it it stated :" Besides her parents, she was precedded in death by five brothers, Kenneth Thornberry, Floyd Acord, Walter Acord, Hanford Acord and Lloyd Acord."
This Lloyd looks like your grandfather except his middle name is "Raymond". But assuming this is your Great Aunt, your grandfather's sister, then a search for Kenneth Thornberry would be in order.
In the 1900 census for Barber county, Kansas we find a Amelia P. Thornberry living with her parents Stephen H Thornberry and Laura Thornberry, Amelia was 2 years old.
In 1910 we find Amelia now age 13 living in Woods County, Oklahoma along with her parents S H Thornberry age 47 and Laura age 55, they were 37 and 43 in 1900.
In 1920 we find Kenneth L Thornberry age 3 & 4/12 living with his grandparents Stephen H and Laura Thornberry ages 56 and 64.
So far I have not found Kenneth in the 1930 census.
Back to 1900 where we find a John and Mary Acord both age 28 along with a son Dott age 7 in Dewey County, Oklahoma. In 1910 we find the same family in Woods County, Oklahoma now ages are 38 and 17.
1930 rolls around and we have John and Pearl Acord ages 56 and 36 living in Woods County, OK along with chidren Floyd age 9, Mary age 7, Walter age 5 and Raymond age 3.
1940 hits us and we have John age 67 and his wife A Pearl age 42 still in Woods County along with Floyd E age 19, Mary E age 17, Walter H age 15 and L Raymond age 13.
Where were John Acord and Amelia Pearl Thornberry in 1920 is left to the student to find.
