I'm sorry, you sound somewhat offended. I only meant to explain that, unlike most other surnames, there was more than one way the Acorn name developed. This forum is certainly for all who have the Acorn name in their ancestory no matter how it originated. The Acorn name in my own family is of the German origination. Your family could also be of that origination if Native Americans married into that family. That is what this forum is for, to help us find out for sure. The German version, Eichorn, actually means "One Horn", or "Unicorn". I swear, if one more person says the Acorn family is made up of a bunch of nuts, I'm going to go Zonkers!
