Hi Don, I was wondering if you have any documentation on the marriage of Minta and George Burrell. In 1850, in the Decatur Co IA Census, they are both listed living in his household. It lists: George Burrell, 30 Hannah " 30, KY John ", 8, IA Mary E ", 5, IA William " 3, IA James " 6/12, IA Polly Kesiah 54, TN Minta " 27, KY Polly Burrell, 12, IA William ", 10, IA Nathan ", 8, MO Betsy ", 5, IA Hannah Kesiah 8, IA Jefferson G " 2, IA
Polly (Mary) Burrell, William, Nathan and Betsy are all children of Francis B. Burrll and Tempe Keziah Burrell.Tempe died about 1849 and these 4 of their 7 children lived for a time with George and Hannah.By the 1860 Census they were living with their father, Francis and his second wife, Susan Emeline Seymour in Missouri. My information is that George Burrell was a brother to my Francis and Tempe was a sister to Hannah, and daughter of Polly Acton Kizzire. This is a very confusing family to say the least.
Another researcher had information that Minta was the wife of John Alexander Kizzire (son of Polly), which would make her, instead, a daughter-in-law.
If you or anyone can shed some light on any of this, I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks,
