I am just recently started the research on this part of my family. My mother's maiden name was Acton. She was Betty Mae Acton and married John Howard Stephen Bone.Betty's father was Stephen Karel Acton. His wife was Phoebe Baxter.Phoebe's mother's name was Fanny. Phoebe also had a sister named Barbara. "Karel", Phoebe, Fanny & Barbara were all on board The Celtic which landed in Buffalo New York in Oct 29, 1920 from Liverpool, England, UK (per Ellis Island records).I recently posted information on the England website and received a response of a 1901 census report listing Karel, the son of William and Susan Acton, Karel's DOB was 06/19/1985 which I already knew. The census shows, Elnah (age 1 Essex, Colchester, Essex), Elrad (age 4,United States, Essex, Colchester), Karel (age 5, United States, Essex, Colchester), Martha (age 7,United States, Essex, Colchester), Osmond(age 8,United States, Essex, Colchester), Susan (age 41,United States, Essex, Colchester), William (age 40, Cheschire, Chester, Essex - Cochester Priest of the New Church.) Also I received handwritten notes stating Grandpa Acton's father's address at that time was Mr. Acton, 76 Glengarry Rd. East Bulwich, England. (Bulwich is what is typed on the Ellis Island Passenger records).I have since been informed it is Dulwich not Bulwich. (The notes from my sister were referencing to our Grandpa Acton, Stephen Karel Acton.)Could this be part of the lineage's you are looking for?
