Dr. Robert (Robin) Adair and his wife Lady Caroline (nee Kepple) had a son Rt.Hon. Sir Robert Adair G.C.B., born 24 May 1763,whose obituary is in (Per 050G) "Gentlemen's Magazine" Nov.1855, N.S., xliv. They also had 2 daughters, Elizabeth and Diana who are listed in the book (942.075a) "Extraordinary Black Book" by J. Wade on page 416 as receiving pensions from c. 1 June 1772.Their brother & father (late Ambassador to the Ottoman Porte) are also on the same page as receiving pensions. I take it some of this information was derived from the Government Parliamentary Papers for the year ending Jan. 5, 1830. Diana Adair married Charles Clavering and she died aged 93yrs.More information on Robin's dau, Diana probably could be found in Burkes under "Clavering". Lady Caroline died 1769 after looking after her sister, Elizabeth, Marchioness of Taxistock.
