Index: "Adair Adeir of Kinhilt, William (Ninian) and James, Patrick, Gilbert and Thomas, his brothers, charged with molestation"(perhaps rebelling against the church). 10th July 1607, fined "Andro Agnew,the Laird of Garleis and Sheriff of Wigtoun, ather of thame under the pane of 3,000 merkis; Willima McKie of Mertoun, William McKie of Kerequhirne, Ninian Adair of Kinhilt ilk ane of thame ij merkis (then mentions otheres). Those cautioned about 100 persons, amongst them were William Adeir of Kinhilt, James, Patrik, Gilbert and Thomas Adeir, his brothers, Andro Agnew, sheriff of Vigtoun,etc.etc.John Agnew, servant to the Laird of Culzean (castle of Lord Kennedy) was charged with resetting a rebel.
