Hi Max: Remember me? When you asked about Joseph Adair I told you my info was packed away for a move to a new house. We are now fairly well settled and I am ready to pick up the geneology work again. I looked at my mother-in-law's work and trying to decipher her notes I found the following. JOSEPH (1773-1856) was the second son of DAVID (1734-1821) and ABIGAIL (1736-1821) who moved to Canada (Clinton Township, Lincoln County)from New Jersey and petitioned for land in 1796. It is probable the JOHN (the elder son) and JOSEPH did not accompany their parents but came to Canada at a later date. Subsequently, on September 4, 1803, JOSEPH married CHARITY KONKLE (1787-1837) and they had 5 children: 1. JOSEPH, married (July 3, 1824) Susannah London of Saltfleet. 2. THOMAS, married BEVERLEY (?), had 2 daughters. 3. RHODA, married (March 5, 1832) Stephen Confat (?) of Clinton. 4. ANNA (1817-1830) 5. ADAM, married MARY JANE HOUSE I stress again that this is information my mother-in-law has left behind on sheets of paper in no kind of order. I have not verified this information myself.
