This version is very interesting, I will have to get back to you.I thought that a John who went to America about the time James would have sailed back from Cork c.1772+ may have had close family ties. However, Edward was more puzzling although he was in this family. It now appears that James had bros John & Edward and also sons John & Edward which wasn't unusual. Do not think that the English MS(desc. of Patrick the merchant of Belfast) Adairs from London/Belfast/Corgie lineage mostly shown in the London library MS were very closely related to this particular family of American co. Antrim (Loughanmore)Adairs (but they may have been). However, members of the Belfast/Corgie Adair family also appeared to migrate from the co. Down and Belfast area a little later.
The Loughanmore Adairs are fairly well documented in wills and pedigrees, so will sort through my mess of files for a will of James in 1686.However, I have posted on the boards all I have found so far. Thought this line came through Archibald and his son Thomas who were both at the Battle of the Boyne c.1690.
